Standard tension uses a firmer spring than the Easy Tension version, delivering more resistance when twisting out for a more positive engagement during hard efforts, sprints, and out-of-saddle climbing. These are the only road cleats to offer continuous 3-axis adjustability, giving you independent control over fore-aft placement (up to 13mm), left-right positioning (up to 6mm), and pedal float (micro-adjustable from 0° to 15°), all without compromising one axis to adjust another. Release angle is also independently micro-adjustable from 0° to 7.5°, giving bike fitters precise control when dialing in clients with asymmetries or specific biomechanical needs.
The dimpled, low-profile design and rubberized texture of the cleat provide better traction and enhanced walkability compared to traditional road cleats, and the integrated cleat surround stays attached while riding to protect both the cleat and your shoe sole. Stack height is 11.5mm with the standard 3-hole (Look/SPD-SL compatible) pattern and 8.5mm with a 4-hole Speedplay-specific drilling, letting riders who are sensitive to saddle height benefit from the lower stack of dedicated Speedplay shoes.
