The Lake MX332 Lite is a purpose-built cross-country race shoe stripped down for racers who want every gram optimized. To hit minimum weight it uses a carbon fiber lasting board, an ultra-lightweight Clarino microfiber upper with an Outlast temperature-regulating heel and tongue liner, and a heat-moldable internal Thermaform carbon fiber heel counter for a custom, locked-in heel. Critically, the toe spike metal insert is removed entirely, so the MX332 Lite does not accept toe spikes, a deliberate choice for riders who ride clean and fast. Two BOA Li2 dials handle precise micro-adjustment.
Underfoot, the Lake 100% carbon fiber sole with real rubber tread delivers maximum stiffness and power transfer, and it runs a 2-bolt SPD cleat pattern. The MX Race last gives a slightly narrower toe box and tighter heel than the Competition last for a slim, second-skin racing fit, offered here in an X-Wide build for racers who want that profile with extra width.
